Glen was raised on the family farm/ranch north of Hanna, Alberta, relocated to Medicine Hat to attend Hillcrest Christian College. He began his policing career with the Medicine Hat Police Service in 1980, serving in various capacities until his retirement 2015. Always active in community, Glen volunteered over the years with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Block Parents, Youth Safe House, Eagles Nest Ranch, Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society, Housing First Steering Committee, Medicine Hat Housing Society, Medicine Hat and District Food Bank, Santa Claus Fund, coaching hockey and basketball, officiated basketball, at his local church and several other organizations. Glen was first elected as a Conservative Member of Parliament in a 2016 by-election to serve the great people of the Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner riding. He was re-elected in 2019 and 2021. Currently he serves as: – Member of the National Defence Committee since 2021 – Vice Chair of the Special Joint Committee on the Declaration of Emergency since 2021
